Satellite Applications Catapult’s latest Annual Emissions Report features GHGSat’s work in methane monitoring, showcasing how satellite data is helping organizations track and reduce emissions more effectively.
In a partnership with Satellite Applications Catapult and GHGSat, funded by the UK Space Agency, UK-based organisations can request GHGSat data as part of the Methane Monitoring Data Supply for UK program. UK-based organizations can access high-resolution methane emissions data for research and development. GHGSat’s satellites are already monitoring over 2,000 methane sources worldwide, from oil and gas facilities to landfills and agriculture, providing critical insights for emissions reduction.
This recognition reinforces the growing role of space-based data in tackling global climate challenges. By expanding access to high-precision emissions data through strategic partnerships, GHGSat is helping industries and researchers make more informed decisions to reduce their environmental impact.
