GHGSat celebrates a significant achievement in its greenhouse gas monitoring mission, thanks to the exceptional performance of Space Flight Laboratory (SFL)-built microsatellites. These satellites have exceeded their design capacity, doubling their methane emission measurement capabilities.
Each unit now makes twice as many daily emission measurements as initially planned. This achievement allows GHGSat to accelerate the scaling of its monitoring services, aiding industries such as oil and gas, power generation, mining, and more in understanding and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
As GHGSat continues to lead in greenhouse gas monitoring from space, this announcement highlights the significant strides GHGSat has made. GHGSat will be present at the World Satellite Business Week (WSBW) conference in Paris from September 11-15, 2023, where they will discuss their expanding constellation and advancements in satellite technology.
