Emissions Intelligence in Oil and Gas: How Chevron and GHGSat Are Turning Methane Monitoring Into a Profitability Driver

Emissions monitoring used to be a compliance requirement. For leading operators, it has become something else entirely, a tool for finding hidden costs, reducing unplanned downtime, and driving measurable financial returns across upstream and midstream operations. In this on-demand SmartBrief webinar, GHGSat and Chevron show exactly how. Register to watch now.

What the Webinar Covers

GHGSat VP of Oil and Gas Ryan Matson and Chevron General Manager Vanessa T. Ryan spend 55 minutes covering what emissions intelligence actually delivers for upstream and midstream operators with case studies and operational examples. Register to watch and hear:

  • How advanced emissions monitoring helps operators detect issues earlier before they become unplanned downtime, compliance events, or reputational exposure
  • The real financial case for emissions intelligence: how Chevron quantifies the return on investment from methane monitoring and connects it directly to operational decision-making
  • How leading operators are using satellite and aerial emissions data not just for reporting, but for improving asset performance across distributed upstream and midstream operations
  • How Chevron has embedded emissions data into frontline operations and the internal incentive structure that drives adoption across the business
  • What the first steps look like for operators who are not yet running an emissions monitoring program and how to manage the complexity of interpreting data once it starts coming in
  • The role of GHGSat’s SPECTRA platform in making emissions data visible, navigable, and actionable for operations teams
